About Autism Plus
Autism Plus are a leading Yorkshire Charity supporting adults and young people with autism, learning disabilities, mental health conditions and complex needs.

In 1986 the Charity was created by a group of parents looking for the very best support for their children who were about to leave a specialist school. Once they reached the age of 17, they found there was little or no support. The belief set by our founding parents, to empower more people to live independent, fulfilling lives remains our focus today.

We employ over 350 people across the north of England in care support services, employment support and social enterprise businesses.

About the Role

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
Essential: Full Driving Licence and access to a vehicle

We are looking for a Training Facilitator who is passionate about delivering vital training and induction to employees, mainly within front line care roles. The individual in this position will deliver and continue to develop the current training programme (including Care Certificate modules) alongside existing professional facilitators. They will ensure that staff meet their learning objectives whilst contributing to the business’s overall performance targets.

The role will involve some travel to other areas of the business within Yorkshire and Humberside.

Key Responsibilities:

Support in the development of specialist training and delivering training at various locations across the organisation in order to meet the needs of the organisation including all statutory, mandatory training and the Care Certificate
Deliver training in accordance with current legislation, CQC expectations, best practice and company policies
Plan and conduct activities for a balanced programme that meets the learning objectives using various methods of delivery
Provide a positive and professional environment in which staff are encouraged to be actively engaged in the learning process
Provide guidance and support to the learners through the session
Preparing materials and training rooms for session activities
Continuously reviewing and improving the quality of training through evaluation
To act as a role model to promote a positive, proactive culture within the team and wider organisation.

We are looking for an individual with:

Full Driving Licence and access to a vehicle
Significant Training/Learning and Development experience operating within the care sector
Ability to plan, design and deliver colleague learning programmes
Excellent IT and organisational skills
Can communicate effectively, creatively and clearly both verbally and in writing
Strong attention to detail
Ability to identify priority tasks with strong time management skills
Full driving licence and access to your own transport.
