Job Overview
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Linen Porter / Housekeeping Assistant to join our housekeeping team at the Humber Royal Hotel. This is a hands-on role supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the hotel by maintaining linen supplies, assisting housekeeping staff, and helping ensure high standards of cleanliness throughout the property.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver clean linen, towels, and amenities to housekeeping storage areas and guest rooms
- Collect and transport used linen and rubbish safely and efficiently
- Support room attendants with housekeeping duties as required
- Clean and maintain public areas, corridors, storage rooms, and service areas
- Assist with bed making, room setup, and deep cleaning tasks
- Ensure linen cupboards and housekeeping trolleys are fully stocked and organised
- Follow all health, safety, and hygiene procedures
- Report maintenance issues or damaged items promptly
- Work as part of the housekeeping team to maintain excellent guest standards
What We’re Looking For
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good attention to detail
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling duties
- Previous hotel or housekeeping experience is preferred but not essential
- Flexible approach to shifts, including weekends and holidays where required
Pay: £8.00-£12.71 per hour
