Security Officer – Access Control & Gatehouse Operations

Location: Doncaster

Hours: Monday – Friday, 06:00 – 18:00

Salary: Competitive

Controlled Security Operations Ltd is seeking a professional, reliable, and confident Security Officer to manage access control at a busy operational site in Doncaster. This role requires someone who can remain approachable for authorised staff and visitors while maintaining a firm, authoritative presence to prevent unauthorised access.

Key Responsibilities

Opening and closing site gates at the start and end of each shift, ensuring a secure handover.
Checking staff ID and verifying credentials before granting entry.
Managing authorised visitor access, including sign‑in procedures and issuing passes.
Stopping unauthorised access through confident communication and strict adherence to site protocols.
Liaising with the CCTV control room regarding alerts, suspicious activity, or access concerns.
Maintaining a professional, approachable presence for staff, contractors, and visitors.
Providing clear guidance to visitors while upholding strict security standards.
Completing accurate logs, reports, and incident notes.

What We’re Looking For

Valid SIA Door Supervisor or Security Guarding licence.
Permanent applicant.
Strong communication skills with a calm, confident approach.
Ability to remain polite and approachable while enforcing rules.
Experience in gatehouse or access control roles (preferred).
Reliable, punctual, and committed to high professional standards.
