About The Role:

Working pattern: Predominantly Monday to Friday with some flexibility required to cover at the weekend, the role will mainly be covering during the day for 8 hours per day, with start times depending on the sites being travelled to, usual day may be 8am-5pm. This role will involve travel around Mastrick and to sites up to 30 miles away. Fuel expenses will be covered.

Holiday entitlement will be accrued on a pro-rata basis in line with weeks worked.

At OCS, our cleaners play an important part in providing safe, clean environments in which our customers can thrive in their workspaces. As Cleaning Area Manager, you will ensure that cleaning staff perform their duties efficiently, maintain high cleanliness standards, and contribute to a safe and hygienic environment, and will be working across sites in the Northern area.

Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Managing a small team, looking after rotas, holidays, and performance and responsible for delivering training to all cleaning operatives and ensuring all records are updated correctly.
Responsible for conducting cleaning audits on a weekly basis and escalating any areas of concern
An awareness of the need to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure work environment.
This role may require the use of heavy industrial equipment, specialist chemicals and working at heights.

The ideal candidate should meet the following criteria:

You must have Right to Work in the UK
Excellent communication skills.
Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role.
A background working in cleaning/ retail environment would be advantageous.
Willingness to work at height.
COSHH and IOSH trained desirable.
