Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organised Laboratory Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting laboratory operations. The Laboratory Technician will be responsible for conducting precise analyses, maintaining laboratory information management systems, and assisting in the overall integrity of laboratory data.
Responsibilities
- Conduct laboratory tests and analyses in accordance with established protocols and quality standards.
- Support analytical tests by preparing samples, recording observations, and maintaining detailed records.
- Utilise Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) to document data accurately and efficiently.
- Perform routine maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Assist in quality control procedures by verifying sample integrity and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Analyse test results and upload on the LMS for report generation.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and maintain a clean, organised laboratory environment at all times.
- Support the implementation of ISO 17025 regulations within laboratory operations to guarantee compliance and data integrity.
Requirements
- Prior experience working within a laboratory setting, preferably involving analytical chemistry.
- Prior experience in Marine Fuel Oil testing is highly advantageous.
- Strong analysis skills.
- Excellent organisational skills with keen attention to detail to ensure precision in all tasks.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Relevant qualifications in science or related fields are preferred but not essential; relevant laboratory experience is highly valued.
