Salary: £39,364- £43,562 per annum
Hours: 37 hours per week
Teaching Hours: 864 hours per annum based on full time*
Annual Leave: 45 per annum plus statutory Bank Holidays

- Up to 7 hours abatement for the role of Curriculum Leader depending on allocated duties.
The Role
We are seeking an inspiring Curriculum Team Leader in Games, VFX & Esports to lead the delivery and management of our creative digital courses. This is a hands-on role, combining teaching with responsibility for leading staff, maintaining high quality learning, and driving strong student outcomes. You will oversee curriculum planning, support your team, and ensure programmes meet both industry standards and awarding body requirements, while developing an engaging, future-focused curriculum that prepares students for progression and employment.
Key Responsibilities
- To undertake all operational management of the curriculum area
- To undertake all aspects of line management of the team including performance appraisals of staff, monitoring and development.
- To lead on Learning, Teaching & Assessment and implement variety in teaching and learning approaches, carrying out lesson observations and walk throughs as required.
- To allocate and monitor staff timetables working closely with the Assistant Principal/ Associate Directors.
- To provide and act upon data relating to student and course performance.

Qualifications
- To hold a relevant qualification at Degree level.
- To be a qualified Teacher or must be prepared to commence an appropriate teaching qualification on appointment to the post.
- Personal commitment to keeping your professional knowledge up to date and improving your capabilities.
- Personal commitment to keeping your professional knowledge up to date and improving your capabilities – Desirable.
Experience
- Relevant current experience and knowledge of Games Design, Games Development, Esports, Animation, VFX or wider Digital Creative Media curriculum.
- Experience of working with industry-standard software, hardware and production pipelines relevant to Games, VFX and Esports.
- Relevant experience in a teaching position in Further Education or Secondary Education or within a professional environment – Desirable.
- Experience of employer engagement and/or live industry projects within the creative digital sector – Desirable.
Knowledge & Skill
- Current knowledge of potential issues and developments impacting Games, Esports, VFX and Digital Creative industries.
- Knowledge of progression pathways and careers within Games Design, Games Development, Esports, VFX, Animation and related industries.
- Strong understanding of industry-standard software and technologies relevant to Games, VFX and Esports delivery.
- Good oral and written communication skills with a capacity to deal effectively with staff, students, parents, employers and external stakeholders.
