Full job description

Logico NE Ltd are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Trainee Transport Compliance Consultant to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to build a career in transport compliance and regulatory consultancy.

Working alongside experienced consultants, you will receive comprehensive training in transport legislation, operator licensing requirements, fleet compliance systems, and industry best practices. The role will involve supporting transport operators to maintain legal compliance and improve operational standards across their businesses.

Key Responsibilities

Administration of transport management systems.
Assist consultants in conducting transport compliance audits and reviews.
reparation of compliance reports and action plans.
Review operator licence documentation and maintenance records.
Help monitor vehicle inspection schedules, driver hours, tachograph compliance, and transport management systems.
Maintain accurate records and update compliance databases.
Liaise with clients, drivers, transport managers, and regulatory bodies where required.
Assist with preparing documentation for regulatory inspections and public inquiries.
Conduct research into transport legislation and industry guidance.
Support the delivery of compliance training and awareness programmes.
Attend client sites under supervision to observe and assist with compliance assessments.
Keep up to date with changes in transport regulations and industry standards.

Training and Development

The successful candidate will receive structured training covering:

Operator licensing requirements.
Driver hours and tachograph regulations.
Vehicle maintenance compliance.
Fleet management systems.
Transport audits and compliance reviews.
Regulatory investigations and enforcement procedures.

Essential

Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to analyse information and produce accurate reports.
Professional and customer-focused approach.
Willingness to learn and develop within a specialist consultancy environment.

Desirable

Knowledge of the transport, logistics, or fleet industry.
Relevant qualifications in transport, logistics, business, or compliance.
Experience in an administrative, customer service, or compliance-related role.
Understanding of operator licensing, tachographs, or transport legislation.
Full UK driving licence.
