Sports Coach / Activity Leader – Summer Holiday Programme (HAF)

Position Overview
Live It & Get Active CIC is looking for enthusiastic, energetic and reliable Sports Coaches and Activity Leaders to support the delivery of our Summer Holiday Activity and Food (HAF) programme.
We deliver fun, engaging and high-quality holiday provision for children aged 5–16 across multiple venues. We are looking for individuals who can confidently lead sports, games, enrichment activities and group sessions whilst creating a positive and inclusive environment for all children.
Whether you are an all-round coach who enjoys delivering a variety of activities or a specialist with expertise in a particular sport or activity, we would love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, safe and inclusive activities for children and young people
- Lead and support a variety of sports, games and enrichment sessions
- Encourage participation, teamwork, confidence and enjoyment
- Adapt activities to suit different ages, abilities and needs
- Manage behaviour positively and professionally
- Support the daily setup and pack down of equipment and activities
- Ensure safeguarding, health and safety and organisational procedures are followed at all times
- Work effectively as part of a wider delivery team
- Build positive relationships with children, parents and venue staff
- Requirements
- Experience working with children in a coaching, education, childcare, youth work or community setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable, organised and able to work independently and as part of a team
- Passion for supporting children and young people to be active and engaged
- Enhanced DBS certificate or willingness to obtain one
- Ability to travel to venues across Middlesbrough and Stockton
- Desirable Qualifications and Experience
- Sports coaching qualifications
- Teaching, teaching assistant or youth work experience
- Childcare qualifications
- First Aid qualification
- Safeguarding training
- Experience delivering holiday clubs, after-school clubs or community programmes
- Specialist skills in areas such as football, athletics, cricket, dance, gymnastics, boxing, outdoor activities, performing arts, fitness, wellbeing or other enrichment activities

Contract length: 6 weeks
Pay: £15.00 per hour
