Junior Fabricator Welder

Hours: 37.5 paid hours per week, Monday to Friday
Eco-Trailer Limited manufactures premium British-built enclosed car transport trailers from our facility in Middlesbrough.
We are looking for a Junior Fabricator Welder to join our production team. This role would suit someone with basic MIG welding and fabrication experience who wants to develop their skills in a organised manufacturing environment.
The Role
You will assist with the fabrication and welding of trailer chassis, frames and components using drawings, jigs and workshop instructions.
You do not need to be the finished article, but you must be reliable, willing to learn and take pride in producing accurate, tidy work.
Responsibilities
- MIG welding mild steel components
- Assisting with fabrication of trailer chassis and assemblies
- Working from drawings, jigs and instructions
- Measuring, cutting, grinding and preparing steel parts
- Checking work for accuracy and quality
- Keeping your work area clean and organised
- Working safely as part of a production team
- Learning from experienced fabricators and welders
Requirements
- Basic MIG welding experience
- Basic fabrication or workshop experience
- Ability to use hand tools and grinders safely
- Willingness to learn and improve
- Good attention to detail
- Reliable, punctual and hard-working
- Ability to work as part of a team
Desirable
- Experience reading basic engineering drawings
- Previous welding experience
