Job Description:

Here at Smith & Graham Solicitors we are seeking a reliable and professional temporary part-time receptionist to join our team at our head office in Hartlepool for four days per week (Monday to Thursday) for two to four weeks (but could be longer).

As the first point of contact for our firm, the receptionist plays a crucial role in creating a positive and welcoming experience for our clients and visitors. This position requires excellent phone etiquette, computer skills, and strong organisational abilities.

Responsibilities:

- Greet and welcome visitors in a friendly and professional manner

- Answer and direct phone calls, taking messages as needed

- Provide general administrative support, including data entry

- Schedule appointments and maintain calendars

- Assist with office tasks such as photocopying, scanning, and mailing

- Receive, sort and distribute daily mail/deliveries

- Prepare/frank outgoing post

Requirements:

- Proven experience as a receptionist or in a similar role

- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills

- Proficient in computer applications such as Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel

- Strong administrative and organisational skills

- Ability to type accurately and efficiently

- Familiarity with office equipment (e.g., printer, franking machine)

- Ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively

Must be aged 18 or over.

Salary is dependent on age and experience.
