Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Healthcare Apprentice to join our team and gain valuable experience within the healthcare sector. This paid apprenticeship offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in pursuing a career in nursing or healthcare. The role provides hands-on training and exposure to various aspects of patient care, supporting our experienced healthcare professionals. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong desire to learn, excellent communication skills, organisational ability, and a keen interest in healthcare practices.

Duties

Assist registered healthcare professionals with daily patient care activities
Support the development and implementation of care plans under supervision
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using IT systems
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members to ensure quality care
Help organise appointments, schedules, and other administrative tasks to ensure smooth operations
Observe and learn clinical procedures, safety protocols, and hygiene standards
Provide compassionate support to patients, respecting their dignity and privacy
Participate in training sessions and professional development activities

Qualifications

Genuine interest in nursing or healthcare careers
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Basic IT literacy with proficiency in using computers and software applications
Organised with excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Ability to work well within a team environment
Willingness to learn new skills and adhere to health and safety regulations
Prior experience in healthcare is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
