Whether you are an experienced Band 6 clinician seeking part-time work, or a talented newly qualified Band 5 physiotherapist eager to develop your career in neuropsychiatric rehabilitation — we want to hear from you.
About Cygnet Newham House
Cygnet Newham House is a modern, purpose-built 20-bed neuropsychiatric care and treatment facility based in Middlesbrough, providing specialist rehabilitation for women affected by acquired brain injuries (ABI). We are proud to be one of a kind — a clinically-led, evidence-based service with a therapeutic and recovery-focused ethos at its heart.
Our person-centred interdisciplinary team puts each individual at the centre of their treatment and discharge planning, helping women maximise their independence and return to community living. We work with some of the most complex and fascinating presentations in neuropsychiatric rehabilitation — including ABI, Huntington's Disease, Frontotemporal Dementia, Korsakoff's syndrome, and associated mental health conditions.
We are delighted to have recently been rated 'Outstanding' in Well-Led by the Care Quality Commission (April 2026), rated 'Outstanding' by the national brain injury charity Headway (January 2026), and recognised for excellence in the first national Quality Network for Neuro Services (QN-Neuro) report. This is a service you will be proud to be part of.
