he School of Health and Life Sciences is now seeking to appoint to the post of Senior Lecturer Teaching Scholarship and Professional Practice (TSPP) in Adult Nursing to contribute to teaching, research, knowledge exchange, enterprise in the Department of Nursing, Midwifery and Paramedic Practice in the School of Health & Life Sciences.
The standard TSPP academic role at the University includes a combination of teaching, scholarly activity, professional practice, knowledge exchange, business engagement and associated administrative activities. While all functions will combine these areas of work, the relative weight of each will vary between and over time for each role holder.
The postholder will be an NMC Registered Nurse with advanced specialist knowledge in adult nursing, holding both a first degree and Masters in a relevant discipline, or equivalent professional qualification and significant practice experience. You will have proven experience of academic programme or curriculum leadership at Higher Education Institution level, including contribution to NMC regulatory approval processes such as pre-registration nursing programme validation or revalidation.
You will bring this expertise to teaching, scholarly activity, knowledge exchange and enterprise across the School. Specialist knowledge or experience in physical assessment and clinical examination skills, diabetes care, or health and justice nursing would be particularly welcomed.
Applicants must hold, or be willing to achieve, a relevant Teaching Qualification normally within two years of appointment, i.e. PGCLTHE or Higher Education Academy (Associate Fellow/Senior Fellow) accreditation.
