This is a great opportunity for an experienced Digicon Operator to join a business with extensive in-house expertise, a strong reputation for delivering high-quality labels and label solutions, operating modern production equipment.
Role: As a Digicon Operator, you will be responsible for running finishing equipment to produce completed labels in line with company procedures. You will help ensure machinery operates efficiently while maintaining product quality, working within machine capabilities, and following health and safety requirements.
· Prepare, set up, and operate the Digicon machine.
· Run print finishing equipment accurately and efficiently.
· Check product quality and ensure consistent output throughout production.
· Adjust machine settings to achieve accurate registration, tension, and cutting performance.
· Oversee production runs to maintain quality and consistency.
· Inspect finished labels for issues such as register, die cut, foiling faults, or other defects.
· Carry out routine cleaning.
· Identify and resolve finishing issues during production.
· Complete production records and maintain accurate job documentation.
· Work safely and follow all health and safety procedures in the production area.
Requirements:
· Previous experience within the labels, print, or packaging sector.
· Experience operating an ABG Digicon would be highly beneficial.
· Understanding of die-cutting, laminating, foiling, varnishing, and slitting processes.
· Ability to interpret job specifications, production sheets, and work instructions.
· Excellent attention to detail with a strong focus on quality control.
· Ability to work effectively to deadlines across projects of different sizes and requirements.
· A positive, customer-focused attitude and a proactive approach to work.
