Make a Difference Every Day at Royton & Crompton Academy. We are seeking a passionate and resilient Pastoral Manager to support students in overcoming barriers to learning, improving attendance, wellbeing and behaviour, and achieving their full potential. Working closely with families, staff and external agencies, you will provide targeted pastoral support, champion safeguarding, and help create an inclusive environment where every student can thrive. Key responsibilities:

Provide targeted pastoral support to students with social, emotional and behavioural needs.
Work closely with families to improve attendance, wellbeing, behaviour and engagement in learning.
Support students through challenging life events, including transitions, bereavement, family change and friendship difficulties.
Build strong partnerships with external agencies to secure the best possible outcomes for students.
Promote positive behaviour, resilience, emotional wellbeing and social inclusion throughout the academy.

Pay range: £29,639.07 - £33,615.28 - FTE: £33,699.00 - £38,220.00 - 37 hours per week - 39 weeks per year

Qualifications and Skills:

Educated to a high standard, including GCSE Grade C/4 or above (or equivalent) in English and Maths
Experience of supporting children and young people within an educational or learning environment.
Strong understanding of safeguarding, child protection procedures and pastoral care.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, families, staff and external agencies.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a wider inclusion and safeguarding team.
Positive, personable and committed to improving outcomes for young people
