Full job description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Care Manager to oversee the delivery of high-quality care within Childcare, Assisted living and domiciliary services. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing care services, supervising staff, and ensuring the well-being of service users, particularly those requiring specialised dementia and Alzheimer's care. This role offers an opportunity to lead a compassionate team committed to delivering person-centred support and maintaining excellent standards of care.

A Domiciliary Care Manager oversees the delivery of high-quality home care services, manages staff, ensures regulatory compliance, and supports clients to live safely and independently in their own homes.

Key Responsibilities

Client Care Management:

Oversee day-to-day delivery of domiciliary care services, ensuring clients receive personalised, high-quality care in line with CQC standards
Manage care packages from referral through assessment, support planning, monitoring, and review
Ensure clients’ physical, emotional, and social needs are met while maintaining dignity, privacy, and independence
Work with clients and families to align care with individual preferences and wishes

Staff Leadership and Management:

Support recruitment, train, supervise, and support care staff, ensuring they understand their roles and responsibilities
Conduct staff appraisals, supervisions, and performance reviews in line with regulatory standards
Promote a positive, respectful workplace culture and manage staff diversity effectively
Implement and manage policy or procedural changes to maintain service quality

Operational and Regulatory Duties:Administrative Responsibilities:

Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, including safeguarding, health and safety, and care standards
Maintain accurate records, manage complaints, incidents, and accidents, and carry out investigations as required
Monitor and maintain high standards of care, including medication administration and infection control
Support business development, including expanding services and liaising with health professionals such as GPs and social workers
Manage budgets and resources effectively to ensure sustainable service delivery
Ensure all notifications and documentation required by regulatory bodies are completed accurately
Use care management software to track staff schedules and client care

Qualifications and Experience

Minimum of one year’s experience as a care manager in a domiciliary care setting
Strong knowledge of CQC standards, statutory inspections, and essential care regulations
Experience in staff management, recruitment, and training.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with clients, families, and healthcare professionals
Familiarity with care management software and administrative systems
