We are looking for a proactive and organised HR Officer who enjoys variety in a fast paced role within a manufacturing environment to join our team at Walstead Bicester.
You will be working within a small team, responsible for the full employee lifecycle and supporting managers in line with UK legislation and Company policies and procedures. You will also support our payroll team with maintaining, preparing and processing data.
This is a hands on role within a supportive team across the UK. Administrative support is a key part of this role however there will be opportunities to build and develop your HR career.
Key Objectives (including but not limited to):
· Support the site with all HR and payroll related procedures and policies.
- Ensure payroll data is accurate, complete and submitted in line with payroll deadlines.
- Control time and attendance anomalies, holidays, sickness, overtime etc
· Support the site management team in implementing and driving all people management including but not limited to day-to-day HR queries and people processes, recruitment, onboarding, probationary reviews, training and development, disciplinary and grievance processes, absence management, time and attendance processes, occupational health.
· Managing, coordinating and supporting end-to-end recruitment – advertising, shortlisting, interviewing and onboarding processes. Producing template contracts of employment and variations.
· Delivering an engaged and compliant onboarding experience and ensuring new starters are fully supported right from the offer of employment.
- Maintain HR records in line with GDPR and internal retention polices.
- Collate monthly HR and payroll information, including data analysis, new starters, leavers, contractual changes, overtime, absences, holiday and additional payments.
- Supporting with employee queries and escalating more complex issues where appropriate.
- Communicate with Group HR and Payroll as appropriate.
Requirements:
· Experience in a HR Administrator/Officer role within a manufacturing environment, however full support and training of Company specific procedures will be provided.
· Experience supporting with payroll / time & attendance processing
· Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office skills are essential – Word and Excel.
· Excellent communication, administration skills and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and meet critical deadlines.
· Thorough attention to detail and ability to follow processes.
· This role involves handling sensitive and confidential information and confidentiality is therefore of key importance, with a professional and approachable manner.
· Knowledge of HR and payroll systems.
· A CIPD qualification or working towards or qualified through experience would be advantageous.
· Full UK driving licence advantageous – some travel to other sites may be required.
