Full job description

We are looking to recruit a Medicines and Workflow Administrator to join our busy, large, friendly and forward thinking GP Practice. The job will be based in Practice at Heaton Moor Medical Centre.

The successful candidate must be highly motivated, reliable, computer literate with excellent communication, customer service and administration skills. Attention to detail is essential. Experience of the EMIS Web clinical system and workflow management and/or processing of prescriptions is desirable.

As a Medicines and Workflow Administrator you will support the clinical team dealing with prescription requests received both electronically and paper-based from patients, community pharmacies and other third parties and you will be supported by a multidisciplinary team of pharmacy professionals. You will also safely process all the practice’s paper and electronic correspondence, ensuring that the patient’s records are accurately updated and coded.

MAIN DUTIES:

Daily production of patient repeat prescription requests and nursing home prescription requests for Clinicians to sign
Deal with prescription queries – liaise with doctors, chemists and nursing home at all times
Update medication changes/GP instructions on Docman immediately
Indexing electronic letters for HMMG – action appropriately, ie. read code problems, template use

The salary for this role is £13.77 - £15.45 per hour and we are looking for full time at 37.5 hours per week.

Shift Pattern:

Mon: 10.30 - 18.30

Tue: 07.00 - 15.00

Wed: 08.00 - 16.00

Thu: 10.00 - 18.00

Fri: 08.00 - 16.00

Pay: £13.77-£15.45 per hour
