Full job description

We are looking to recruit a Street Cleansing Operative to join our existing team based at the Environmental Hub, Cledford Lane, Middlewich. The position is for 37 hours per week, with a 6am start Monday to Friday.

About you

We are looking for somebody who will be committed to providing an effective frontline service to the residents of Cheshire East in a courteous and professional manner. You will be expected to undertake a range of tasks including driving a 3.5 tonne transit tipper/alternatively fuelled vehicle; predominately litter picking, emptying litter and dog bins, the removal of fly tipped waste, fly posting and graffiti.

The successful candidate will:

Hold a full UK driving licence.
Have previous work-related experience of a similar operational role.
Complete daily driver vehicle checks.
Be prepared to work outdoors in all weather and exert physical effort for much of the working day.
Have an understanding of relevant safe working practices.
The ability to interact and communicate effectively with members of the public.
