Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Grill Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality grilled dishes in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals with a strong background in food preparation and culinary arts to showcase their expertise and contribute to delivering exceptional dining experiences.

Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of grilled dishes according to recipes and presentation standards
Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety and hygiene regulations
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the grill station and surrounding areas
Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure optimal quality and safety
Assist in meal preparation for service periods, including marinating, seasoning, and assembling ingredients
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders
Restock supplies and ingredients as needed to maintain smooth kitchen operations
Follow health and safety procedures diligently during all food handling activities

Requirements

Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or as a kitchen assistant within a restaurant or catering environment
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
Previous experience with meal preparation, especially grilling techniques, is highly desirable
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
Good understanding of culinary principles and presentation standards
Ability to work as part of a team, demonstrating professionalism and reliability
Prior experience in serving or customer-facing roles is advantageous but not essential
