Full job description

Mills Engineering Services Limited is a growing engineering and fabrication company delivering high-quality engineering solutions across industrial and infrastructure sectors. We specialise in structural steelwork, mechanical installations, and engineering support services, including projects within the water industry.

Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated Project Engineer to support the delivery of engineering and fabrication projects across industrial and infrastructure sectors including the water industry.

The Role

The successful candidate will assist with project coordination, technical support, site activities and engineering documentation to ensure projects are delivered safely on time and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

· Support delivery of multiple engineering projects

· Assist with planning, procurement and project coordination

· Liaise directly with clients, site teams, and suppliers

· Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and company procedures

· Attend site meetings and carry out site visits when required

· Prepare project documentation, reports, and progress updates

· Support procurement and fabrication coordination

· Ensure projects are completed to specification and client requirements

Requirements

Essential

· Previous experience in a Project Management role within an engineering environment

· Strong organisational and communication skills

· Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

· Good understanding of health & safety practices

· Full UK driving licence

· Proficient in Microsoft Office packages

Desirable

· HNC/HND qualification in Engineering or similar discipline

· Experience working within the water industry

· Experience managing structural steelwork projects

· Knowledge of fabrication and site installation processes

· SMSTS or equivalent site management qualification

· Experience using project planning software
