Multi-Skilled Fire & Security Engineer
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 per annum depending on experience

About Us
We are an established electrical contracting company delivering commercial electrical, fire alarm, security and access control installations throughout Kent and the South East. Due to continued growth, we are seeking a reliable and experienced Multi-Skilled Fire & Security Engineer to join our expanding team.
The Role
The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of installation, testing, commissioning, maintenance and fault finding across a range of fire and security systems. We are looking for someone who is confident working independently, takes pride in their work and can support projects from first fix through to final handover.
Key Responsibilities
- First fix and second fix installation of fire alarm systems.
- Installation, maintenance and commissioning of CCTV systems.
- Installation, maintenance and commissioning of intruder alarm systems.
- Installation and maintenance of access control systems.
- Installation and fault finding of automatic gates, barriers and entry systems.
- Testing and commissioning of fire alarm systems.
- Completion of commissioning documentation and certification where competent.
- Fault finding and repairs across fire and security systems.
- Reading and interpreting drawings and specifications.
- Liaising with clients, site managers and project managers.
- Ensuring all works are completed safely and to a high standard.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience within the fire and security industry.
- Experience with CCTV, intruder alarms and access control systems.
- Experience carrying out first fix and second fix installations.
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Good understanding of commercial installations.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable Experience
- BS 5839 fire alarm commissioning experience.
- Experience completing fire alarm commissioning certificates.
- FIA qualifications.
- Experience with Paxton, Hikvision, Texecom, Galaxy, Pyronix, Advanced, Kentec, Morley, Gent, Notifier or similar systems.
- Experience with automatic gates, barriers, intercoms and door entry systems.
- ECS Card.
