We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Site Plasterer to join our construction and maintenance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and finishing internal and external wall and ceiling surfaces to a high standard across a variety of residential and commercial projects. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in plastering and general construction to contribute to diverse maintenance and refurbishment works. The successful applicant will demonstrate excellent workmanship, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely and efficiently within a team environment.
Duties
- Prepare walls, ceilings, and other surfaces by cleaning, bonding, and applying appropriate base coats.
- Apply a range of plastering finishes including skimming, rendering, patch repairs, float and set, and dry lining.
- Install plasterboard, metal stud partitions, and suspended ceiling systems where required.
- Carry out repairs to damaged plasterwork, ensuring seamless finishes that match existing surfaces.
- Mix plastering materials and use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Work alongside other trades including joiners, painters, electricians, plumbers, and bricklayers to complete construction and maintenance projects.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications to complete work accurately.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Ensure all work is completed to a high standard, meeting project deadlines and quality expectations.
- Perform general site duties as required to support the wider construction team.
Experience
- Proven experience as a plasterer within the construction or property maintenance industry.
- Competent in a variety of plastering techniques including skimming, rendering, dry lining, and patch repairs.
- Experience using plastering hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Knowledge of surface preparation, finishing techniques, and plasterboard installation.
- Experience working on residential and commercial construction sites is preferred.
- Ability to carry out manual handling and heavy lifting safely when required.
- Strong understanding of health and safety legislation and best practices on construction sites.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to produce high-quality finishes.

Pay: £32,000.00 per year
