What are we looking for?
We are looking for a professional and welcoming Receptionist and Telephonist to be the first point of contact for our clients and guests. As the 'face' of Wright & Lord you’ll play a critical role in shaping the client experience from the moment they walk through our doors. If you pride yourself on your organizational skills and your ability to keep an office reception running like clockwork, we’d love to meet you. We are looking for:
· Reception/telephony/administration/office experience (and not necessarily legal experience)
· A confident computer user
· Energetic and pragmatic approach to tasks
· Meticulous attention to detail
· A strong work ethic
· Articulate and clear thinking
· Excellent people skills
· An understanding of the importance of smart presentation
· A willingness to learn and follow instructions
Previous legal experience in a solicitor’s practice is not essential. If you feel you have most of the personal attributes above, please apply as training and guidance will be given throughout.
The Role
You will be joining our team and offering a supportive service to your colleagues and our clients. This will include, but not limited to the following responsibilities in which you will be expected to use a high degree of self-management and initiative:
- Welcoming our clients/visitors and suppliers and notifying the relevant staff members of their arrival.
- Ensuring the Reception area is clean, organised and stocked with company brochures.
- Answering all telephone calls in a professional and friendly manner and efficiently transferring calls to appropriate staff.
- Providing secretarial and administrative support to your colleagues as and when required.
- Undertaking any specific training when required to do so and overall to have a responsibility towards self-development.
- Ensuring the confidentiality of all the firm’s and client’s documentation and information.
- Taking responsibility of the post to ensure it goes out daily.
- Working alongside our accounts department to bank cheques, carry out Petty Cash reconciliations and taking meter readings.
- Ensuring the stationary, refreshment and general office supplies are well stocked.
The Reward
Salary will depend on your experience and ability. The job comes with 5 weeks paid holidays plus paid Bank Holidays.
