Role Overview
We are seeking a commercially minded, proactive, and hands-on Marketing Business Partner to support the delivery of marketing activity at a local and functional level.
This role acts as a key link between marketing and individual business areas. You will partner closely with your General Manager to drive local growth, deliver impactful campaigns, and ensure marketing activity is aligned to business priorities.
You will play a key role in executing and delivering marketing plans on the ground, identifying opportunities for growth, and ensuring marketing is visible, relevant, and commercially effective within your area.
The role is suited to someone who enjoys combining practical delivery with commercial thinking, and who can translate central marketing plans into effective local activity that supports growth, brand consistency, and customer engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Business Partnering & Commercial Support
- Act as a key marketing partner to the General Manager for your area
- Support the delivery of local commercial objectives through targeted marketing activity
- Align marketing activity to business priorities and revenue opportunities
- Provide insight and feedback from your area to inform wider marketing direction
- Act as a gatekeeper for brand identity across the group, owning signage, point-of-sale materials, and the guest and visitor welcome experience.
Local Marketing Delivery
- Plan and execute marketing campaigns tailored to your local market and audience across all channels including digital and social media, owned and paid and direct mail.
- Ensure campaigns are aligned with brand, messaging, and commercial priorities
- Identify opportunities to drive footfall, engagement, and revenue within your area
- Work at pace to deliver high-quality, effective marketing activity
Community & Partnership Engagement
- Build strong relationships with local business groups, networks, and partners
- Drive and develop PR activity to enhance brand awareness
- Identify and develop opportunities for collaboration, co-promotion, and local visibility
- Represent the business within the local community to enhance brand presence
Grants & Funding Opportunities
- Identify, apply for, and secure local business grants, typically under £10,000, where these support agreed local marketing or commercial priorities.
- Work with relevant stakeholders to maximise funding opportunities
- Ensure successful utilisation and reporting of grant-funded activity
- Work with SLT on more substantial grant applications
Events & Activation
- Support the planning and delivery of events within your area
- Drive attendance, engagement, and commercial return from events
- Ensure events are well-executed, on-brand, and aligned to business objectives
Operational Support & Marketing Coverage
- Work collaboratively with the wider team to ensure continuity of marketing delivery
- Manage key agency stakeholders
- Participate in a rota-based system to provide weekly cover for the marketing function
- Support broader marketing activity as required during peak periods or team absence
Collaboration with Head of Marketing
- Support the Head of Marketing in delivering strategic initiatives
- Provide local insight, performance feedback, and campaign learnings
- Ensure consistent execution of marketing standards across all areas
Key Skills & Experience
- Experience in a marketing role with strong executional capability
- Experience across multiple channel execution, ideally including print, digital and website, social media and direct mail
- Commercial awareness and understanding of how marketing drives revenue
- Experience working with stakeholders across different functions or locations
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Experience in event delivery and/or local marketing activity
- Awareness of local funding or grant opportunities (desirable)
