We are looking for a reliable, hardworking and dog-focused individual to join our Boarding Team on a full-time, permanent basis. The Role
This is a physically active, hands-on role within our busy boarding department. You will play a key part in maintaining the highest standards of care, cleanliness and safety while ensuring every dog enjoys a comfortable, happy and enriching stay.
Key Responsibilities
- Cleaning and maintaining kennels to exceptional hygiene standards
- Feeding dogs and following individual care plans
- Monitoring dogs' health, behaviour and overall wellbeing
- Safely handling dogs of all breeds, sizes and temperaments
- Supporting daily boarding routines, including exercise and enrichment
- Working collaboratively as part of a professional and supportive team
- Ensuring high standards of animal welfare are maintained at all times
What We're Looking For
- A genuine passion for working with dogs and a strong commitment to animal welfare
- Previous hands-on experience with dogs, either professionally or personally
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking
- Able to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
- Confident handling dogs safely and calmly
- Flexible and willing to work a rota that includes weekends, bank holidays and peak boarding periods
Desirable (but Not Essential)
- Experience working in kennels, dog daycare or another animal care environment
- Knowledge of dog behaviour and safe handling techniques
- Animal care qualifications
Please Note
This role is physically demanding and involves regular cleaning, lifting and working both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
Due to the nature of the role, applicants must be aged 18 or over.
Working Pattern
This is a full-time permanent position, with shifts scheduled on a rota to meet the needs of the business. The role includes regular weekend working, bank holidays and increased hours during busy boarding periods such as school holidays. You will receive a consistent full-time working pattern with opportunities to develop your skills and progress within the business.
Pay: £12.71 per hour
