Starting Salary between £34,533.00 - £37,448.00 depending on experience, PLUS a shift allowance of 15%!

OTE's of £40,000+ per annum including bonus and average overtime!

Permanent role, ongoing progression encouraged with associated skill structure pay increases, regular overtime at enhanced rates, plus additional standard monthly bonuses paid each month.

We are seeking a collaborative team player with proven experience in powder coating, as well as strong skills in the preparation of materials and components.

Responsibilities:

Primarily powdering direct to bare metal from a provided set process to powder prime and powder top coat components.
Experience in powder coating to understand the standards necessary for preparation and application to achieve consistent film thickness, gloss levels, surface finish & colour requirements.
An appreciation of the Health & Safety hazards within a paint shop. Experienced in using & maintaining air-fed respiratory equipment.
Flexible to further develop and enhance skills through a range of both wet paint and powder coating processes and products (existing wet spraying experience is beneficial, but not a necessity)
Working as a team player to achieve customer quality, delivery, cost, and innovation requirements.

Characteristics:

Committed team player with emphasis on flexibility and productivity, and a focus on continuous improvement;
Must be prepared to work regular overtime;
High attention to detail.

Experience

Proven experience for powder coating
Shot blasting experience would be beneficial
Good communication skills
Thorough knowledge of paint shop safety hazards combined with experience operating and maintaining air-fed respiratory protective equipment.

Working Hours & Salary:

Working hours will be 37.5 basic hours per week, on a rotating shift basis.

Early shift hours will be 6.00am - 2.00pm Monday - Thursday, and 6.00am - 11.30am on Fridays.

Late shift hours will be 2.00pm - 10.00pm Monday - Thursday, and 11.30am - 5.00pm on Fridays.

Salary - Guaranteed basic starting salary £14.24 per hour x 37.5 hours per week PLUS a shift premium of 15% of your basic hourly rate.

Overtime is paid at a premium depending on hours worked:

Level A - Overtime paid at premium rate of £21.36 per hour (i.e. x 1.5).

Level B - Overtime paid at premium rate of £28.48 per hour (i.e. x 2.0).

Plus, a monthly bonus aligned to business performance that total payments of up to £375 - £450 per month on average. This bonus is guaranteed at a minimum of £50 per week.
