Rare Opportunity: A great opportunity has arisen to join our wonderful Factory Warehouse Team as a Yard Hygienist, and part of the wider Production Team.

This is a physically demanding role, requiring long periods of standing and walking, as well as manual handling.
Shift Pattern:
- Monday to Thursday: 8:30am to 5pm
- Friday: 7am to 3:45pm
- Total of 41 hours per week
- NO weekends!
41 hours, full time permanent contracted hours.
20 minute paid morning break and 45 minute unpaid lunch break.
Salary: £13.34 per hour

The Role
To keep Yard and Warehouses clean and tidy in order to meet Food safety and Health and safety standards.
Responsible for - Waste segregation and storage of recycling.
Warehouse and Yard Hygiene
MAIN DUTIES
- To work with your Manager to ensure the Yard / Warehouses and surrounding areas are kept in accordance with cleaning procedures.
- Segregate waste and maintain storage of recyclable waste up to collection.
- Carry out bailing of recyclable waste when needed.
- To help with goods intake and other Yard / Warehouse procedures.
- Learn goods intake procedure for receiving bulk intake of Liquid sugar and oversee the deliveries.
- Spray Yard with Weed killer when needed.
- Keep all walkways across site swept.
- Ensure correct use of PPE
- Keep areas clean and tidy - adhering to health and safety regulations.
- To carry out other work as specified by your Manager.
- Report any machinery issues or safety faults directly to your manager.
- Health & Safety: be aware and comply with H & S legislation. Understand and be committed to the Company’s Health and Safety Policy and the Company’s safety priorities and be aware of his/her contribution to such priorities. All employees have a general duty in law to take reasonable care for the health and safety of themselves and of other persons who may be affected by their acts or omissions.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
- Excellent attention to detail.
- An ability to multi task and prioritise.
- Be confident working within a team.
- Must be able to work to deadlines and be confident in communicating.
- Reliable and trustworthy.
- Ideally has experience of Forklift Driving or willingness to learn to support in covering holidays and absences if and when required.
Due to the nature of this role and the environment, applicants are required to carry out manual handling, stand for long periods of time and have no nut allergies, hearing or visual impairments (glasses / contact lenses wearers are fine).
