About the Role

As an Account Manager with DMRI, you will work with agencies, brands, and publishers, helping secure ideal prizes for major UK magazine competitions. Your role will focus on finding the best brands to partner with and crafting PR and advertising opportunities that align with brand goals, publisher needs, and consumer interests. You will leverage our decade-strong experience and proprietary technology to make competition management simple and effective. This position will also involve building strong client relationships, supporting repeat business, and providing excellent client service.

Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) for liaising with clients via email and phone.
Ability to develop and nurture lasting relationships with repeat business clients.
Persuasive and personable, with the ability to convey benefits and explain complex concepts clearly and effectively.

Friendly, warm, and engaging personality suited for building rapport with clients.
Proactive, with a genuine enthusiasm for working with brands, agencies, and consumers.
Able to manage and maintain positive interactions even when handling content edits or competition approvals.

3. Sales Acumen & Persuasion

Ability to approach potential clients and present the benefits of our Prize Sponsor Benefits, demonstrating how they align with clients’ goals.
Strong sales instincts to maximize engagement and encourage deeper collaboration with repeat clients.

4. Organizational Skills

Able to manage incoming and outgoing calls and emails efficiently.
Strong multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively, ensuring a smooth flow of daily operations.
Detail-oriented to manage content edits and competition approvals accurately.

5. Industry Awareness

Familiarity with the UK magazine and media landscape is preferred.
A good understanding of brand partnerships, PR, and advertising.
Willingness to stay updated on emerging trends in brand collaborations and consumer engagement in the competition space.

6. Technical Proficiency

Proficient in Microsoft Office, CRM systems, and any relevant sales or client management tools.

7. Qualifications and Experience

Proven experience in account management, sales, or client relations.
Demonstrated experience working with brands, agencies, or clients in a customer-facing role.
Ability to demonstrate a positive track record in customer retention and engagement.

This role is ideal for someone who is highly personable, sales-savvy, and eager to drive brand collaborations in the magazine competition industry. A bright and bubbly personality is a must to create and maintain lasting relationships!

Working Hours & Location

Full-time: 37.5 hours per week (Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM)

Salary & Earnings Potential

Basic salary: £24,000 per year
On-target earnings (OTE): £32,000 per year, with uncapped commission so your potential is higher.
We’ve structured the package to reward those who build strong client relationships and deliver ongoing value. The more you develop and grow your accounts, the more you earn — with no ceiling on commission. One of our company goals is to reward people for their work fairly and we feel this structure does this. Office based in Chapeltown, Sheffield – a beautifully converted church with on-site parking and shops just a 5-minute walk away!
