Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Pizza Chef to join our vibrant culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality pizzas, ensuring that each dish meets our standards of excellence. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary talents in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. The successful applicant will have a strong background in food preparation and kitchen experience, with a keen eye for food safety and presentation.

Duties

Prepare pizza dough, sauces, and toppings according to established recipes and standards
Cook pizzas to perfection using various methods, ensuring consistency and quality
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety regulations
Assist in meal preparation for other menu items as required
Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and notify management when supplies need replenishing
Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet customer expectations
Serve prepared dishes efficiently while maintaining excellent customer service standards
Follow health and safety procedures diligently during all stages of food preparation and service

Requirements

Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar culinary role within a restaurant environment
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
Previous kitchen or restaurant experience preferred, particularly with pizza or Italian cuisine
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in meal presentation and quality control
Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team
Flexibility to work shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays as required
Serving experience is advantageous but not essential; willingness to learn is important
