Full job description

Production Operative – Prisma Colour Ltd
Location: Stalybridge, High Peak, Derbyshire
Hours: 48 hours per week (Monday–Thursday)
Shift Pattern: Night shift.

6:30pm – 6:30am

Previous applicants need not applyKey Requirements (Essential):

Physically fit and capable of manual handling/lifting
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment
Basic numeracy and literacy skills
Reliable, organised, and safety-conscious approach

Desirable:

Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment
Experience operating machinery (e.g. extrusion)

Established in 1991, Prisma Colour Ltd is a successful manufacturer of additives and colour concentrates for the plastics industry. Based in the High Peak, Derbyshire, we pride ourselves on quality, consistency, and maintaining high operational standards.

The Role

We are looking for a motivated Production Operative to join our Stalybridge Production Team. This is a hands-on, physically demanding role within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will be responsible for operating machinery, supporting production processes, and ensuring all products meet defined quality standards. Full training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

Operate extrusion and production machinery (semi-skilled role)
Carry out quality checks to ensure products meet required standards
Perform line changeovers efficiently when required
Label, pack, and prepare finished goods for dispatch
Support warehousing activities, including storage and raw material handling
Maintain high standards of housekeeping and organisation
Follow all health and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment
