Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking enthusiastic and personable Bar Staff to join our team. The ideal candidate will deliver excellent customer service in a lively and welcoming environment, ensuring guests enjoy their experience. This role involves preparing and serving drinks, maintaining cleanliness, and creating a friendly atmosphere for patrons. Previous hospitality or restaurant experience is preferred, but full training will be provided for the right candidate. The position offers an opportunity to develop skills in a dynamic setting while working as part of a dedicated team.

Duties

Serve a variety of beverages to customers efficiently and courteously
Take orders accurately and handle cash or card payments using POS systems
Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including wiping surfaces and restocking supplies
Ensure compliance with food safety and licensing regulations at all times
Assist in setting up and clearing tables as needed during busy periods
Monitor customer behaviour to promote responsible drinking and safety
Support the team during events or special functions, providing excellent service throughout
Follow all health and safety procedures to ensure a safe environment for staff and guests

Skills

Strong hospitality skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour
Knowledge of food safety standards relevant to bar operations
Experience in serving customers in a restaurant or bar setting is advantageous
Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods
Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
Excellent time management to ensure prompt service and minimise wait times
Ability to work well within a team, maintaining a positive attitude under pressure
A professional attitude with a focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences
