Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Front of House & Chef / Chef Helper to join our vibrant hospitality team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be involved in both customer service and food preparation, contributing to a memorable dining experience for our guests. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for culinary arts, excellent interpersonal skills, and a keen eye for detail. Whether you are an experienced professional or eager to develop your skills in a bustling restaurant environment, this position provides valuable hands-on experience in a supportive setting.

Responsibilities

Welcome and serve guests with professionalism and warmth, ensuring excellent customer service at all times
Assist in food preparation, including basic cooking tasks and plating dishes according to standards
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and dining areas in compliance with food safety regulations
Take orders accurately and efficiently, upselling menu items where appropriate to enhance guest satisfaction and sales
Manage table service, including serving food and beverages, refilling orders, and attending to guest needs promptly
Support the kitchen team with prep work during busy periods and assist with cleaning duties after service
Ensure adherence to health and safety standards throughout all operations
Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments efficiently using the POS system
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth restaurant operations during shifts
Pour pints & make cocktails
bring new ideas to the table

Requirements

Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred but not essential; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are equally valued
Knowledge of food safety standards and proper hygiene practices
Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and managing orders
Experience in food preparation or culinary roles is advantageous
Strong organisational skills with excellent time management abilities to handle busy service periods effectively
Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
Good communication skills and a friendly demeanour when interacting with guests and colleagues
Flexibility to work during peak hours, including evenings and weekends as required
