Full job description

Location: Cork, Tralee, Limerick, Galway, Dublin.

Experience: 10-15 years

MWP are looking for a Senior Water Services Engineer to join our growing Water Services Team.

We are an established multi-disciplinary engineering and environmental consultancy with offices in London and throughout Ireland.

This role will suit a candidate with ten years plus, postgraduate experience, who will be rewarded with an attractive remuneration package, and the opportunity to work on challenging and varied projects, within a close-knit team of engaging individuals. Role:

The overseeing and preparation of Preliminary designs reports for both Private and Public Clients inclusive of D+B Contracts.
The preparation of detailed tender documents, scope of works, specifications and pricing documents.
The Supervision and Contract Administration of Water Services projects in the field.

The Successful candidate must have:

Have a minimum 10+ years post graduate experience in Civil Engineering.
Must have attained Chartered Status.
Have experience in a wide variety of Water Services Projects including Network design, pumping stations, WWTP, Rising mains and Fire protection Projects.
Experience working with Irish and/or UK water authorities
Have experience in the use of Micro-drainage, Civil 3D and GIS or similar.
Ideally have knowledge of government/public contracts and others such as NEC and FIDIC.
Experience in flood risk management, fluvial hydraulic modelling or hydrology would be an advantage.
Current experience of leading, managing and running, Civil engineering design projects, preferably in the consultancy sector.
Excellent knowledge and experience of current codes of practice and design standards.
Proactive, a good communicator with the ability to lead others in a multi-disciplinary project team.
Excellent level of attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong interpersonal skills, and good written and oral communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
Full driver’s licence
