At Forest Coaches, we pride ourselves on delivering safe, reliable, and top-tier transport services across our community. From ensuring children get to school safely to delivering memorable experiences on day trips and private hires, our drivers are the face of our business.
We are expanding our team and looking for dependable, customer-focused individuals to join us. No commercial driving experience? No problem. If you have the right attitude, we offer full training to help you get behind the wheel.
The Role
As a Driver for Forest Coaches, no two days are the same. We offer a varied and dynamic working environment. Your core responsibilities will include:
- School Runs: Providing safe, punctual, and friendly home-to-school transport for local students.
- Private Hire: Driving for a variety of bookings, including weddings, corporate events, sports teams, and parties.
- Day Trips: Taking groups on exciting excursions, scenic tours, and community outings.
- Vehicle Care: Conducting standard daily walk-round safety checks to ensure your vehicle is clean, roadworthy, and safe.
What We Are Looking For
We need individuals who are reliable, passionate about customer service, and above all, flexible. Because our bookings range from early morning school contracts to weekend private hire, adaptability with working hours is essential.
Requirements:
- A full, clean UK Driving License (held for at least 2 years).
- Category D or D1 PCV license with a valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card is highly desirable.
- Trainees Welcome: If you hold a standard Category B (car) license and have an excellent driving record, we can provide the training necessary to upgrade your license.
- An enhanced DBS check (we will assist you in obtaining this, as you will be working with children/vulnerable adults).
- A polite, patient, and professional manner with passengers.
What We Offer
- Competitive rates of pay with opportunities for overtime.
- Comprehensive training and support to obtain your PCV license/CPC if required.
- A diverse and engaging workload (say goodbye to the monotony of the same route every single day!).
- A supportive, family-oriented team environment.
- Company pension scheme.
- Uniform provided.
Schedule & Flexibility
- Must be flexible to work a shifting rota that includes early mornings, split shifts (for school runs), evenings, and weekends according to business demand.
