Pay Rate: £12.75 per hour
Weekends & Bank holidays : £13.75

Shift patters :

Day: 9am -5pm

Evening: 5pm -10pm

Night: 10pm -9am

Castlehaven Care Ltd is looking for caring, compassionate and dedicated Learning Disabilities Support Workers to join our friendly team in Bishops Castle.

This rewarding role involves supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism, and mental health challenges to live fulfilling, independent lives. Every day is different, and you’ll play a vital role in helping people achieve their goals, develop life skills and enjoy meaningful experiences.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Learning Disabilities Support Worker, you will:

Provide high-quality, person-centred support tailored to individual needs.
Assist with personal care, medication support and daily living activities.
Encourage independence, choice and dignity at all times.
Support people to access community activities, hobbies and social opportunities.
Help individuals develop essential life skills and confidence.
Promote emotional wellbeing and provide compassionate support.
Maintain accurate care records and report any concerns appropriately.
Work alongside families, healthcare professionals and colleagues to achieve positive outcomes.
Contribute to a safe, clean and welcoming home environment.
Assist with household tasks including meal preparation, cooking, cleaning and laundry.

Desirable (but not essential):

Previous experience supporting people with learning disabilities, autism or mental health needs.
A full UK driving licence.
Knowledge of person-centred care practices.No previous care experience is necessary, as full training will be provided. We welcome applications from people with the right values , attitude, and willingness to learn.

Qualifications & Training

Applicants should hold a Level 2 Diploma in Health & Social Care or be willing to work towards one while employed.Full training will be provided, including:
