Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Yard Person to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the organisation and cleanliness of the yard, assisting with vehicle movements, and providing excellent customer service. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction are paramount.
Responsibilities
- Assist customers with collecting and loading materials and other products.
- Receive, unload, check, and store deliveries accurately.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe yard at all times.
- Operate forklifts and other equipment safely.
- Pick and prepare customer orders for collection and delivery.
- Monitor stock levels and assist with stock counts.
- Ensure products are stored correctly and securely.
- Support drivers with loading and unloading deliveries.
- Follow all company health and safety procedures.
- Provide excellent customer service and product assistance when required.
Essential requirements
- Forklift licence (Counterbalance/telehandler).
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Physically fit and capable of manual handling duties.
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious.
