We are a long established Independent European transport provider, Offering Neutral Express solutions strictly to Transport and Logistics companies on our scheduled European ground network complimented by our ever-growing integrated solutions business units.
The Pricing Agent is responsible for developing accurate, competitive and timely pricing proposals for Sovereign Speed’s express and logistics services. The role requires strong analytical skills, a basic but willing nature to develop their understanding of operational processes, and the ability to balance internal cost structures with customer requirements and market expectations.
The Pricing Agent is expected to collaborate closely with Sales, Operations and Customer Service to develop appropriate, tailored solutions and quotations for customers. This requires careful consideration of collection and delivery locations, routing, transit times, customs requirements, operational feasibility and all other relevant shipment-specific requirements.
The Pricing Agent is also responsible for actively following up on quotations and rate requests by email and telephone. This includes engaging directly with customers to understand and evaluate their requirements, obtain feedback, and adapt the proposed operational solution and commercial offering where necessary.
A strong willingness and ability to build and maintain positive, professional relationships is essential. The Pricing Agent must liaise effectively with customers, overseas agents and Sovereign Speed business units, negotiating rates and obtaining spot quotations while maintaining a consistently high level of customer service.

The Role:
- Customer quotes and follow ups utilising our easy to use quote screen
- Obtaining and negotiation of freight rates, local charges and delivery rates
- Developing business relationships with existing and new customer base
- Assist with the clear handover process to operations for any shipments won
- Develop relationships with overseas agents and assist with routed business in the form of providing charges and local information to them
From You:
- Willingness to learn EU freight negotiations and pricing
- Good general IT skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills, a good written and telephone manner
- Ability to multi-task and work at a fast pace
- Effective team worker
- Motivated and willing to learn new skills
- 5 years referencing and a clear criminal record - as these need to be checked and verified if successful.
