Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Street Furniture Installer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of various street furniture items, including bike racks, bike shelters, and signage. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to urban development projects whilst working outdoors in diverse environments. Prior experience in installation or construction is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided.

Responsibilities

Install street furniture such as benches, bus shelters, signage, and lighting fixtures in designated locations.
Ensure all installations comply with safety standards and project specifications.
Conduct site surveys to assess suitability for installation and prepare the necessary groundwork.
Use hand tools and power tools effectively to assemble and secure fixtures.
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on existing street furniture to ensure longevity and safety.
Collaborate with project managers, local authorities, and other contractors to coordinate installation schedules.
Maintain accurate records of work completed and report any issues or delays promptly.
Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times during installation activities.

Skills

Proven ability to operate hand tools and basic power tools safely and efficiently.
Good physical fitness with the ability to lift heavy objects and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
Excellent teamwork and communication skills to coordinate effectively with colleagues and clients.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to construction or outdoor installations is desirable.
Prior experience in civil engineering, construction, or urban planning is a plus but not mandatory. This role offers a rewarding opportunity for individuals eager to develop their skills within urban infrastructure projects while contributing positively to community spaces.

Pay: £25,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
