Catering Assistant
We are seeking to appoint a Catering Assistant for Twycross House School.
The position is term time only, starting September 2026.
Mon-Fri 7.30am-2.30pm (Plus additional hours to cover school functions throughout the year.)
Closing date: 10 July 2026
Contract term: Permanent
We are looking for a passionate, hardworking Catering Assistant with baking experience to join our team to provide first class food and service to the students, staff and guests of Twycross House School. The post holder will be expected, in conjunction with the rest of the team, to support the catering service to ensure it meets the highest standard in terms of quality of food, service, hygiene and safety. The successful candidate will be energetic, flexible and enthusiastic.
This role combines front-of-house service with back-of-house food prep and daily baking (e.g. scones, cakes, traybakes).
Duties would include daily washroom duty / kitchen & dining room clearing & cleaning / food preparation / serving.
Previous experience in a professional kitchen or bakery environment is essential.
Basic knowledge of food hygiene and health & safety regulations.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
Passion for baking and high-quality presentation.
Strong communication skills and a team-player attitude.
(Meal, training and uniform provided.)
NB - Elements of the above duties involves heavy lifting.
