Shop Assistant Volunteer (Weekends)

Mission statement

White Rose CIC is a registered UK charity retailer founded in 2010 by Nottingham Trent University students to support the work of the Aegis Trust. Aegis are a UK NGO who aims to prevent and resolve conflict and mass atrocities through peace education programmes in communities worldwide.

At White Rose we actively encourage volunteers from all backgrounds as we support Aegis in their mission to prevent discrimination that leads to mass atrocities.

White Rose support Aegis by selling handpicked, high quality, pre-loved fashion items and accessories in our multiple shops across Nottinghamshire, beyond and now online!

How you can help

We are looking for Volunteer retail shop assistants to join the talented team on Saturdays and/ or Sundays.

Volunteering in our White Rose shops is a diverse, exciting and fulfilling experience. We provide the opportunity for you to interchange different skills regularly so no two shifts are the same.

We offer a full induction as well as ongoing training opportunities to make sure you feel confident and able to excel in your volunteer role with White Rose.

Typical tasks of store volunteer:

· Serving customers and taking payments.

· Giving amazing customer service and interacting with the general public.

· Sorting through donated items and organising delivery.

· Creating eye-catching window and in store displays.

· Keeping the shop tidy, clean and well organised.

Where volunteering will take place:

Our stores are based around Nottinghamshire and beyond. When you apply you can choose which stores suits you best!

When can I volunteer?

Any days – Monday to Sunday

Any time between 10am – 5pm

How long is a typical session?

We suggest at least a 3-4 hour shift to get real benefit and experience.

How many shifts can I do?

As many as you like! Some of our team do one a week, some do as many as 4-5 a week!
