Full job description

Hours of Work: 4 on 4 off. Days & Nights 07:00 - 19:00, 19:00 - 07:00

Job Purpose:

The Process Operator will be responsible for the monitoring of the extrusion process and product quality assigned to them by their Team Manager, whilst contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the manufacturing function.

Key Accountabilities:

Adherence to all organisational policies, management systems and standard operational procedures, including legal responsibilities in relation to Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality.
Monitor and record the required process parameters at the required times.
Carry out relevant checks on assigned products as required by the product quality plan.
Record scrap information. Segregate all non-conforming product from good production.
Record all required information for all operations as per company works instructions/procedures.
Agree and complete training and development requirements as determined by the Team Manager and the training plan.
Shutdown extrusion machine (include emergency shutdown).
Fault rectification and problem solving.
Ensure workplace is clean and tidy – all housekeeping procedures followed associated with tasks.

Role Requirements:

Good level of numeracy and literacy.
Good ability with Microsoft software.
Good / Strong communication skills.

Clean, neat and tidy approach to work.
Ability to work on own initiative or as part of a larger team.
Good polite manner.
Attention to detail.
