- This job is for 25 hours per week, worked over 5 days. Hours can be negotiable depending on the needs of the practice. For sickness and holiday cover flexibility will be required.
- Previous General Practice experience would be desired though full training will be given to the right applicant.
- Covering reception desk, answering telephone calls to assist and direct patients requesting appointments, house visits, general enquiries and signposting patients to the most appropriate healthcare professional, where appropriate.
- Processing and distributing incoming mail as per workflow optimisation protocol
- Processing repeat prescriptions with accuracy and in accordance with practice guidelines.
- Summarising and read coding medical records
- Producing Subject Access Request Reports
- Accurate use of IT systems and data entry in accordance with practice guidelines.
- Participation in any training programme implemented by the practice as part of this employment.
- Undertake any other additional duties appropriate to the post as requested by the GP Partners or the Practice Manager
QUALIFICATIONS:
Essential
- Nat 5’s (or Equivalent) Grade A to C in English and Maths
- 1 year IT, Customer facing or administrative experience
Desirable
- Previous GP Practice/ Health-Related experience
