Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Apprentice Nursery Practitioner to join our vibrant early childhood education team. This paid apprenticeship offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about working with children and developing a career in childcare. The role provides hands-on experience in a nurturing environment, supporting young children's growth and learning while gaining valuable skills in nursery management and early years education.
Duties
- Assist in the daily care and supervision of children, ensuring their safety and wellbeing at all times
- Support the planning and delivery of age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development
- Help maintain a clean, organised, and stimulating nursery environment
- Engage with children through play, conversation, and educational activities to foster their social, emotional, and cognitive development
- Collaborate with senior staff to monitor children's progress and contribute to individual care plans
- Support the implementation of nursery policies and procedures in line with regulatory standards
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance professional development
- Assist with administrative tasks related to nursery operations as required
Skills
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Genuine interest in working with children and supporting their development
- Basic understanding of early childhood education principles and childcare practices
- Ability to work effectively within a team, demonstrating leadership qualities when appropriate
- Organised with good management skills to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently
- Previous nursery experience or childcare qualifications are desirable but not essential; training will be provided
- Ability to demonstrate patience, empathy, and a caring attitude towards children

Pay: £16,000.00-£17,000.00 per year
