Role Overview-
Ipswich Town Foundation is seeking to recruit a Head of Income Generation to lead, develop and deliver the organisation’s income generation activity, with a specific focus on corporate partnerships, events and community fundraising initiatives.
As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, the role ensures the charity generates sustainable income through strong partnerships, engaging fundraising events and effective stewardship, supporting the long-term sustainability of the organisation.
The postholder will lead a proactive fundraising culture, working closely with all departments and the commercial team at Ipswich Town Football Club to maximise income and enhance the Foundation’s profile and relationships.

Key Responsibilities
Fundraising, Strategy & Performance
- Implement and lead the delivery of all fundraising activity driven from strategy provided by COO, focused on corporate partnerships, events and community fundraising.
- Manage budgets for fundraising activities to ensure KPIs and income targets are achieved.
- Identify new fundraising and partnership opportunities to diversify income.
- Line manage the Fundraising & Partnerships Officer, to ensure partnerships, events and initiatives are planned, organised and executed well.
Income Generation
Lead the way in using Ipswich Town Foundation’s USP to generate and grow income across multiple revenue streams, including:
- Friend of the Foundation – secure and manage ‘corporate’ and ‘supporters’ Friend of the Foundation and build lasting relationships with local businesses.
- Corporate Partnerships – secure and manage long-term strategic partnerships of Foundation programmes.
- Events – Oversee and build a calendar of innovative and engaging fundraising events for supporters to participate in whilst generate crucial income.
- Community Fundraising – Develop and grow community fundraising initiatives involving supporters, schools and other local organisations.
- Individual Giving & Major Donors – Identify opportunities to recruit and steward high-net worth individuals. Develop and enhance donor journeys to increase lifetime value and supporter retention.
- Long-Term Facility – Work with CEO and COO and relevant trustees on fundraising aspects of the facility build
Relationship Management/Donor Stewardship
- Lead an outstanding culture of stewardship with funders, corporate partners, individuals, major donors and community fundraisers to maximise the value of long-term relationships.
- Represent the charity at external events and functions such as networking to enhance visibility and develop fundraising opportunities.
- Work closely with all department heads, especially the Head of Insight, Impact and Development to relay the impact of our programmes to key stakeholders you may engage with.
- Work closely with the Marketing & Communications Manager to ensure fundraising campaigns are well-promoted and successes communicated to foster effective donor stewardship.
Governance & Compliance
- Ensure fundraising activities comply with the charity’s safeguarding protocols.
- Ensure all partnerships the Foundation enter into are values-led.
- Prepare monthly Fundraising monthly reports, along with comprehensive reports for Trustee meetings, approved by COO.
Safeguarding
- Ensure full compliance with Ipswich Town Foundation safeguarding policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate safeguarding records and report concerns in line with policy.
- Undertake relevant safeguarding and CPD training as required.
