Restoraction is growing, and we’re looking for a practical, reliable and motivated Strip-Out Technician to join our expanding fire and flood restoration team.
This is a great opportunity for someone with hands-on building experience who wants to develop their skills, take on responsibility and build a long-term career in restoration.
You’ll work in customers’ homes and businesses following fire, flood and other damage, helping prepare properties for drying, cleaning and restoration.
What You'll Be Doing
Working as part of a two-person team, your role will include:
- Carefully removing damaged flooring, plasterboard, ceilings and other materials.
- Dismantling kitchens, bathrooms, doors, fixtures and fittings where authorised.
- Protecting, photographing and documenting items for potential reinstatement.
- Moving and documenting customers’ belongings.
- Keeping sites clean, organised and safe.
- Supporting Restoration Technicians and other trades.
- Helping with wider restoration activities when required.
This is a role where quality matters. You’ll be trusted to work carefully, use your initiative and find practical solutions while treating customers’ property with respect.
What We’re Looking For
You’ll ideally have practical experience in one or more of:
Building Property Maintenance Strip-Out Carpentry Joinery Kitchen Fitting Bathroom Fitting Multi-Trade Work Insurance Repairs
Previous restoration experience isn’t essential — full training will be provided. We’re looking for someone who is practical, confident using tools, and keen to learn and develop.
You’ll also be:
- Reliable and hardworking, with pride in your work

- Professional and friendly with customers
- Keen to learn and get stuck in
You’ll also need a full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.

Hours & Travel
8:00am–4:00pm on site, plus travel.
Our operational area covers GL, BS, BA, SN, NP, WR and HR postcodes, generally within around 1.5 hours of base.
Initially, the team will normally start and finish at our Nailsworth unit.
Overtime is regularly available, including approximately one weekend day per month, with additional opportunities available.
