Full job description

Part-Time Kennel Hand

Location: Nantwich
Hours: Part-time, working on a rota across 7 days

We have an opportunity to join the team at our rescue centre in Nantwich as a Part-Time Kennel Hand.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about dog welfare, reliable, enthusiastic and has a strong work ethic. Previous experience within a kennel, rescue, animal care or similar environment would be beneficial.

A full UK driving licence and access to your own transport are essential for this role.

As a Kennel Hand, you will be involved in all aspects of the day-to-day care and welfare of our dogs. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Cleaning and maintaining kennels to a high standard
Feeding and exercising dogs
Providing enrichment and spending time with the dogs
Supporting training and ongoing development where required
Organising and managing donated items
Assisting with fundraising activities
Supporting the general day-to-day running of the kennels

This is a hands-on and physically active role. Applicants should be confident working with dogs of different sizes, breeds, backgrounds & temperaments and be comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
