Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our professional team. The successful candidate will provide essential administrative support to our Dispute Resolution Department, ensuring smooth operations and efficient case management. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in developing their legal career within a dynamic and reputable organisation. The Legal Assistant will be responsible for managing documentation, liaising with clients, and assisting with legal research and analysis. Strong organisational skills, excellent customer service, and analysis capabilities are key to success in this position.

This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a professional team handling a wide variety of legal matters, including employment, property, probate, commercial and civil disputes.

Responsibilities

Organise and maintain legal files, documents, and case records with accuracy and confidentiality
Assist in preparing legal documents, correspondence, and reports in accordance with firm standards
Conduct research on legal issues, statutes, regulations, and case law to support ongoing cases
Liaise with clients, witnesses, and external agencies to schedule meetings and gather information
Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries professionally and promptly
Manage calendar appointments for Solicitors, including court dates and deadlines
Perform administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, photocopying, and scanning documents
Support the legal team during hearings or meetings as required

Qualifications

Previous administrative experience within a legal environment is preferred but not essential
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
Outstanding customer service skills with a professional manner when dealing with clients and colleagues
Attention to detail and high levels of accuracy in all work undertaken
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
