Full job description

We are looking for a payroll administrator to join our team. The chosen candidate would spend their time expanding on their existing payroll experience, as part of a small payroll team within a busy accounting practice.

At Atkins Accountants Ltd, you can expect to make friends, learn in a relaxed, yet professional environment and have both input and support within an expanding accountancy firm.

The ideal candidate would have experience in processing payroll (Brightpay experience is preferred but not essential), have a friendly and professional telephone manner, and be comfortable dealing with clients.

The working hours are Monday to Thursday, 8:45am until 5pm, and Friday 8:45 until 3:45pm, with an hour break for lunch.

The job role will include:

Entering payroll information supplied by each client into the payroll system.
Processing new employees and terminations.
Maintaining and updating payroll records.
Preparing payroll reports, payslips etc to send to clients.
Processing pension auto-enrolment and declarations to the pension regulator.
Any other duties that are required.
Assisting in training junior payroll members and reviewing their work

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
