URGENT - Live-In Carer Needed – Norfolk

I’m helping my friend find the right person to support him long-term. He’s a 40-year-old gentleman living in Norfolk, with physical disabilities due to cerebral palsy. He’s got full mental capacity – he runs his own life – but needs physical support and a bit of help day-to-day.

He’s laid-back, enjoys a good laugh, and wants someone who can help him stay social. He’s a bit of a night owl—likes to stay up late and have slower mornings—so if you’re someone who fits that rhythm, that’s a plus. A good sense of humour is key.

The role is live-in, working on on a rotation. You’ll be doing approximately 4-5 hours of hands-on care per day, which includes personal care (he uses a convene system) and helping with mobility. He can weight bear on one leg, so moving and handling is important. There’s a hoist and sling if needed.

You’ll be responsible for the cooking, general cleaning, keeping things organised, and helping with admin tasks. It’s also about companionship, supporting his routines, appointments, and getting out to social activities.

You’ll have your own room, meals included, and it’s in a nice Norfolk town.

We’re looking for someone genuinely caring, patient, and dependable. Good communication is key, and a driving licence would be a bonus.

This is a self-employed role, funded via Social Services. References and an up-to-date DBS will be needed before you start. The first chat will be on WhatsApp.
